Our group experience were great, we didn't have any problem. When I develop group synchronous activities online my concern about the availability to meeting. And also assessing the student is a challenge. I try to do individual assessment connected with the group activities. When student didn't participated actively on the group work normally they don't do well on the individual assessment. I also ask them to create presentation on the end of the group project in a way I can see them presenting individually.

Topic #TLO104
Reviewing my practice as language teacher using the 3 modes of communication as a framework I did notice that, I do focus on the 3 modes, Interpretative, Interpersonal and Presentational however, I need to improve a lot working simultaneously all 3-communication modes on the same unit.
My students do Teletandem but from now on I will ask them to also write in the target language what they learned through the interaction and present for their classmates. The students can search online to prepare their presentation.
I create this post a long ago and I am using this activity to up date it, as we were doing TLO course I asked my student to write a assay and ask their Teletandem partners from Brazil to help them to correct it. I also ask the student when they write a composition they also was supposed to read and record it. The student also created a presentation to introduce their Teletandem partner to the rest of the class. It was some example of activities to use the three communication mode because as you can see I have the tendency to focus more on the interpersonal.

As we were experiencing a synchronous activity today I was
wondering that, on the education field Google hangout as a synchronous tool provide
condition to share theory, experience and be open for ideas. These experiences
enrich our professional life, even better, enable us to help students to have
more access to knowledge and become creator. Technology open opportunity to access
unlimitedly information and also; to share there knowledge without geographic
limitation. I do think that online
learning mode is the best for my reality. It enables teachers to work in any
point of the world, synchronously and/or asynchronously. Asynchronous tools
also help student to be creative, critical and become more active on their
community.
